Phillip Larry Poe, 64, was called from his earthly home to his everlasting heavenly home on Monday, January 11, 2021.   

Phillip had been a lifelong resident of Marion County and was living in Whitwell, TN before his passing.   He was employed by Local #454 as a boilermaker for numerous years.   He was born on March 21, 1956, to his parents, Willie Poe and Billie Jo Blevins.

He loved his family and spending quality time with each of them.   Phillip was blessed to have a huge family and a large circle of friends during his lifetime.  He enjoyed playing softball, loved playing his guitar and was a huge Tennessee Vols football fan. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Carroll Poe and Billie Jo Campbell Blevins; brothers, Gary Stephen Poe and Carroll Edward Poe and sister, Kimberly Hope Blevins.

Phillip leaves his memories to his son, Gregory Shane Poe; daughter, Kelli Amber Poe; brothers, Jackie (Brenda) Wayne Poe, Franklin (Judy) DeWitt Poe and Anthony “Drew” (Vanessa) Labron Blevins; sisters, Pamela (Vinson) Eyvonne Kilgore and Brenda (Steve) Gail Hill; grandchildren, LillyAnn McKenzie Poe, Sullivan Jace Poe and William Glen Akers along with a host of nieces, nephews and cherished friends.

The family will have visitation on Thursday, January 14, 2021 from 3:00 pm CT to 8:00 pm CT at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, TN.  Mask and social distancing are required per the CDC regulations.

There will be a graveside service on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 2:00 pm CT at Baptist Hill Cemetery in Jasper, TN with Pastor Roger Webb officiating.
