Anthonisen, Theodore R. (Jasper)

At the eve of the night on Monday, January 18, 2021, the Lord guided Theodore R. Anthonisen, 82, to the pearly gates of heaven.   

Theodore had lived in Jasper, for the last 25 years and was of the Methodist faith. Theodore had serviced in the United States Army as an E-4 Specialist. He had been employed with the State of Tennessee for over 20 years as a parole officer. Theodore loved his family, his animals along with being a supporter of the Animal Refuge Program. He was a huge Atlanta Braves fan who also enjoyed fishing and ice hockey as he had played in college.

Theodore was preceded in death by wife, Sharon Lea Anthonisen and his parents, Neils and Margaret Anthonisen. 

He leaves his memories to his son, Brent Anthonisen; brothers, Nicholas R. Anthonisen, MD and George R. Anthonisen; grandchildren, Savannah E. Brooks, Troy A. Anthonisen, Valleri A. Anthonisen; niece, Rachel; nephews, Neils, George, Klaus and Daniel along with loving neighbors and special friends.

The family will have visitation on Saturday, Jan. 30, from 10 a.m.-noon CT at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper.

The memorial service will be held following the visitation in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home at noon CT with Reverend Joseph W. Manis, Sr.
