Kennith Ray Chastain
Kennith Ray Chastain, 73, a resident of Old Fort, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2021 at the family residence.
Kennith was born in Cleveland and he was the son of the late Edna Mae Horn Chastain and Eli Chastain. His brothers, Quentin Chastain, Wayne "Uncle Booley" Chastain, and stepfather, Ronald "Shorty" Freeman also preceded him in death.
Most of his life, he was self-employed driving a truck and working in construction with concrete. He retired from M&M Mars working as a truck/trailer spotter. Kennith loved to work on his own equipment and he attended the Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Ozella Marie Chastain, Old Fort; daughters, Pamela Miller, Paula Tapley both of Old Fort, Lora Lewis (Mark Jr.), Cleveland; son, Eddie Herron, Cleveland; 14 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted on Wednesday, Oct. 20, at 2 p.m. at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel with Chaplain David Riggs and Pastor Paul Fox officiating. Interment will follow in the Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as casket bearers.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
