Longtime Podiatric Surgeon In Chattanooga

Dr. Dennis Luke Bizzoco, 68, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 17, 2021, and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Dennis was born on Feb. 15, 1953, in Athens, Greece, to a young single mother who left him at the door of an Athens orphanage when he was just days old. He was adopted by Luke Bizzoco, an American diplomat stationed in Greece, and his wife, Katherine Bizzoco, and brought to this country as an infant. He spent his childhood in upstate New York.

He received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology from Siena College in Loundonville, NY and Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, OH, Summa Cum Laude. He completed his residency in Lubbock, Texas and then moved to Chattanooga, Tn., in 1984. Dennis opened his own podiatry practice, Associates in Foot & Ankle Care, Inc., where he provided his patients with the utmost care for over 30 years and served as a podiatric surgeon for all of the hospitals in the surrounding Chattanooga area.

Dennis was also the published author of The Exhaustive Concordance to the United States Constitution, which can be found in law school libraries across the nation. He was a dedicated board member of the AAA Women’s Services (now Choices).

He is survived by his loving wife, Leslie Bizzoco, and his sons, Neil Bizzoco and Elliot Bizzoco, and daughters, Hannah Legg, Jesse Newton, Sara Bizzoco, Alex Bizzoco, his grandsons, Knox Newton and Quinton Bizzoco, and granddaughters Nora Newton and Adeline Bizzoco.

A memorial service will be held this Saturday, Oct. 23, starting at 11:11 a.m. at the National Memorial for the Unborn located at 6230 Vance Road, Chattanooga. We welcome you to join in honoring his life and incredible impact with us.
