Amy Whipple Named Chief Nursing Officer Of Parkridge Valley Behavioral Health Services

Amy Whipple, MSN, RN, PMH-BC, NE-BC, has been named chief nursing officer for the Parkridge Valley family of behavioral health facilities in Chattanooga.  
 
Ms. Whipple had previously served as the assistant chief nursing officer for the Parkridge Valley Adult Campus and Parkridge Valley West Campus since 2016.  In her new role, she will provide executive oversight of all three Parkridge Valley behavioral campuses – Parkridge Valley Adult Campus, Parkridge Valley Child & Adolescent Campus and Parkridge West Hospital – as well as serve as the Parkridge Valley program director for the behavioral health service line.
 
“We are excited for Amy in her new role as Parkridge Valley CNO,” said Tim Grant, MD, MBA, and chief executive officer of the Parkridge Valley hospitals.
“Her clinical leadership experience will greatly enhance our expansion of services and the strategic development of our behavioral health service line.” 
 
Ms. Whipple has over 25 years of clinical and managerial experience in behavioral health services. Since joining Parkridge Valley, she has led numerous initiatives, including the development of the Parkridge Valley Adult nurse practitioner program and the incorporation of a patient intake center.  At Parkridge Valley West, Ms. Whipple led the conversion to a medically compromised behavioral health unit further affording access to care for those patients with both behavioral and medical needs.
