Alma Marie Holder, 73, of Cleveland, formerly from Dalton, passed away on Friday October 1, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her “daughters of love” and ex-daughter-in-law, Tina Paradise, Brenda Paradise and Leslie King.
She was of the Pentecostal faith, being an ordained minister, with her purpose in life to serve and teach everyone about her Lord Jesus. She was a loving sister in Christ to anyone that needed prayer; being family, friend or stranger. She always said, “you can never go wrong with Jesus in it.” Alma truly had a heart of gold.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Mack Dennis Patterson, Sr. and Pearly Watson; and siblings, Buck Patterson, William Patterson, Danny Patterson, David Patterson, Opal Glover and Josephine Sluder.
She is survived by her son, Jeffery Lee Edwards, and sisters, Mabel Ensley and Shirley Teem, of Goergia. She has two grandchildren, Anastazia Wilkinson and Katherine Henson, and one great-grandchild, Luna Wilkinson. She is also survived by special sister-in-Christ, Linda Cahounn, of Georgia.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Oct. 9 at 2 p.m. at the Amazing Grace Community Church, 3523 Catoosa Pkwy. in Tunnel Hill.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s and Dementia Society.
A special thank you to the staff at Adoration Home Health and Hospice, Tri-state and Companion Respiratory Services, for providing wonderful care during this time.
