Beverly Drake
Beverly LeShawn Drake, 51, of Chattanooga, passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, in a local hospital.
She was a 1988 graduate of Howard High School and attended Chattanooga State Community College. She was formerly employed by Gula’s Restaurant, Seaboard Farms, D.M. Steward, and Farley’s & Sathers Candy Company.
Beverly was preceded in death by her brother, Frederick Blair Drake; maternal grandparents, Joe Thomas and Ida M. Davis; paternal great-grandfather, James Douglas; paternal grandparents, R. H. and Ceola Drake, Sr.; father, R. H. Drake, Jr.; uncles, Joe, Charles, Henry, Ernest Davis, Allen and Albert Reynolds; great-aunt, Mildred Culberson.
Survivors include her mother, Nancy Davis Drake; two daughters, Brittany and Madison Monford; son, Kaydin Drake; uncle, Fred (Judith) Davis of Hamden, CT; aunt, Reverend Mildred D. (James) Middlebrooks of Lyndhurst, Va.,; several cousins; other relatives and friends.
Beverly will lie in state on Thursday, Oct. 7, from 12:30-5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be on Friday, Oct. 8, at noon in the chapel with Pastor Ronald Cook, Sr. as the eulogist. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
