Steven “Smooth” L. Jones
Steven “Smooth” L. Jones, 58, of Ooltewah, passed away on November 21, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family.
A lifelong resident of Hamilton County, Steven retired as a motor officer with the Chattanooga Police Dept., after 27 years of service.
He was an avid UT Vols fan and enjoyed bass fishing, golfing, motorcycling and lifted trucks.
He was baptized at the Ooltewah Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Steven was preceded in death by his father, Carson Jones; and his brother, Stacey Wade Jones.
He is survived by his wife, Amy Jones; son, Steven Chase Jones; mother, Betty Jones; granddaughter, Jameson Kate Jones, all of Ooltewah; sisters, Jan (Talmadge) Lingerfelt, Teresa Wallace, all of Rossville, and Dedria (Jon) Henry, Georgetown, Tn.; several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service for Steven will be held on Saturday, Dec. 4, at 4 p.m. at the Ooltewah Church of God, 9320 Lee Highway, Ooltewah with Pastor Willard Griffin and Pastor Peter Kulakov officiating.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, Dec. 4, at the Ooltewah Church of God from 2-4 p.m.
