Jeffery Talley
Jeffery David Talley was born on November 4, 1966, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, into the family of Stella Joyce and Pleas Henderson Talley, Jr.
Jeff was known for being a master barber with his own barber shop. For many years, Jeff was also an owner/operator of his own trucking firm, JD Talley Transportation. It gave him great pride to help coach and instruct others into starting their own trucking firm as well. Jeff recently gave up his business so that he could be closer to home with his family. He was most recently employed by Penske Trucking.
He was preceded in death by his father, Pleas Henderson Talley, Jr.
Survivors include his devoted mother, Stella Joyce Coleman; stepfather, Bill Coleman; three brothers, Rodney D. Talley (Chicago, IL), Daniel H. Talley (Savannah, GA) and Rafael Young. Three sons and two daughters: Jeffery Talley II, Devonte Saddler, Jayden Talley, Ashley Harris and McKenzie Talley. He also leaves behind six grandchildren; devoted grandmother, Rosie P. Clemons; six devoted aunts and uncles: Orene (Willie Bey), Linda (Michael) Gooden, Van Kent (Kathy) Jones, Morris (Lucia) Jones, Edna Talley, and Andrea Wright. Many close friends, especially his best friend, Kevin Morris (Birmingham, AL). He will always be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 30, at the funeral home.
