Orville Goodner, of East Ridge, Tennessee, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, November 26, 2021.

Though he was saddened to leave his wife Betty and son Charles, he was ready to leave this old world of pain and suffering.  He was looking forward with great anticipation to be with our Lord Jesus Christ and all the promises of Heaven.

He is also survived by his sisters, Jean Hayes and Charlotte Youngblood; several nieces and nephews; special friends Barry and Ann Gunter; the gang at O K Auto Service (Tim, Ronnie, Glen, Scott, and of course the outstanding sweet Evie).

He owned and operated OK Auto Service on Rossville Boulevard for more than 40 years before turning the business over to his son.  One of his hobbies was restoring hotrods, having owned and shown them at car shows throughout the southeastern United States where he won numerous and various awards.  His favorite hotrod was always the 1934 Fords.

For the past 10 years he faithfully attended and loved everyone at Anchor of Hope Baptist Church.

A Graveside services will be held Monday, November 29, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery, 2013 Greenwood Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37406.  Pastor Dan Mouw and Brother Harold Thrower will officiate.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home, but the family will meet on Monday at 2 p.m. at the East Chapel for the procession to the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Anchor of Hope Music Ministry, 2613 Lakeview Dr., Rossville, Ga. 30741.

Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 404 South Moore Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37412.
