Charles “Charlie” Albert Meadors
Charles “Charlie” Albert Meadors, age 83, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, departed this life Friday, November 26, 2021 at Chatsworth Health Care.
He was born March 21, 1938 in Whitley County, Ky., a son of the late Sol and Frankie Vanover Meadors. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Faye Meadors; brothers, Russell Meadors and George Meadors; and sisters, Flossie Birnbaum and Lil Hines.
He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Charles R. and Anna Meadors of Tunnel Hill, GA, Darrell and Kimberly Meadors of Ringgold, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Steve Ellis of Tunnel Hill, GA, Lora Dee and David Sluder of Chatsworth, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Onnie and Betty Meadors, Eugene and Sue Meadors of Kentucky; sisters and brothers-in-law, Anna Lee and Bill Sye of Pennsylvania, Bonnie and Clinton West, Ruth Lynch of Kentucky, Roxie Cotton of Ohio; 11 grandchildren, 16-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Service to celebrate the life of Charles Meadors will be held Monday, Nov. 29, at 4 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with David Sluder and Charles Meadors officiating. Interment will follow in the Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery with Charlie Meadors, Travis Ellis, Kyler Jones, Levi Newby, Cody Penson, Tyler Wyatt, Kevin Cornette, Chas Richardson and Zachariah Pentz serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 p.m. Monday.
