Hamilton County Has No New COVID Deaths, 128 More Cases; Tennessee Has 43 More Deaths

The Hamilton County Health Department reported no more coronavirus deaths on Tuesday and 128 new positive cases, up from 71 on Monday. The total number of cases in the county now stands at 65,533. The death total is 679 people.

The number of COVID-19 hospitalizations is 68 in Hamilton County - no change from Monday. Eight more are hospitalized with suspected COVID. There are 24 Hamilton County inpatients and 20 patients are in ICU - up from 17 on Monday.  

The number of those who have recovered from coronavirus in Hamilton County is 64,153, which is 98 percent. There are 701 active cases, up from 643 on Monday.

Tennessee reported 2,196 new cases on Tuesday, for a total of 1,316,384 coronavirus cases. 

There were 43 more deaths in Tennessee reported on Tuesday, for a total of 17,044.

The state currently has 824 people hospitalized from the virus, 10 more than the day before.

The number of coronavirus tests that have been administered in the state is 10.712 million.

There have been 1,285,438 Tennesseans that have recovered from the virus, which is 98 percent.

Bledsoe County:  3,561 cases, up 5; 22 deaths

Bradley County:  22,659 cases, up 52; 221 deaths, up 3

Grundy County: 2,933 cases, up 3; 42 deaths

Marion County: 5,899 cases, up 4; 58 deaths

McMinn County: 10,758 cases, up 17; 137 deaths

Meigs County: 2,235 cases, up 3; 31 deaths

Polk County: 3,256 cases, up 9; 33 deaths

Rhea County: 7,106 cases, up 8; 99 deaths

Sequatchie County: 3,070 cases; 35 deaths

Knox County: 80,929 cases, up 157; 951 deaths, up 2

Davidson County: 124,244 cases, up 116; 1,200 deaths, up 2

Shelby County: 147,776 cases, up 134; 2,334 deaths, up 7
