River City Company Launches $1,000 Chattanooga Express Card Holiday Sweepstakes To Encourage Shopping Local

  • Thursday, November 4, 2021

River City Company is encouraging people to shop for the holidays at Downtown restaurants, shops and attractions with the $1,000 Chattanooga Express Card Holiday Sweepstakes. Now through Dec. 17, people can enter the drawing by visiting Chattanooga Express Card participating business.

At each of the more than 85 participating businesses, individuals will find a flier or cashier stand with a QR code and “Mystery Word”. By scanning the code, they will be able to enter their contact information and the Mystery word. For every three locations submitted, the participant will receive an entry into the $1,000 Chattanooga Express Card drawing.

“Downtown Chattanooga businesses are continuing to be impacted by COVID-19 and work from home orders," said Emily Mack, president and CEO of River City Company. "Additionally, reports continue to emphasize that COVID-19 will create shortages of manufactured gifts for the holidays. The Chattanooga Express Card participating businesses in Downtown are filled with locally made gifts. Additionally experiences like a date night cooking class at Sweet & Savory Classroom or day adventure for the whole family at the Creative Discovery Museum can make for perfect gifts. If shopping from home is preferred, a Chattanooga Express Card can be purchased online and emailed to the recipient on a specific date like Christmas or Hanukkah.”

There is no purchase or payment necessary to enter to win the $1,000 Chattanooga Express Card Holiday Sweepstakes. The winner will be selected in a random drawing on Dec. 17 at 12 p.m. For additional details including full official rules, visit: https://www.rivercitycompany.com/holiday-express-card-sweepstakes

The Chattanooga Express Card was launched in June 2021 to attract and incentivize individuals to shop at Downtown businesses. Since launching, over $87,000 in cards have been purchased with 100 percent of those funds going to participating businesses.
