The UTC Mocs had a big second-half comeback to defeat Tennessee Tech on the road on Tuesday night. Chattanooga trailed at the half, but ended up winning 82-65.
Tennessee Tech started with a 10-2 run and led by as much as 13 points at 28-15 with 8:32 to play in the first half. The Mocs closed the gap towards the end of the first period, hitting a bucket with under five seconds to play to make it a 41-35 advantage in favor of the home team.
Chattanooga quickly tied the game at the start of the second half, hitting two three-pointers.
The Mocs shot 60 percent from the floor for the second half, while the Golden Eagles went cold.
Tech hit just one of its first 12 attempts from the field coming out of the break. Chattanooga enjoyed a 21-2 run to take a 13-point lead seven minutes into the half.
Malachi Smith had a team high 28 points, while Silvio DeSousa pulled down 11 rebounds.
