Local Mother Shares Daughter’s Triumph Over Adversity In New Book

Book Signing For "Three Failed Attempts One Faithful God" Is Dec. 12

  • Wednesday, December 1, 2021

Ronni Darlene Pruitt has experienced what no parent should. The mother of two had the near misfortune of witnessing her oldest daughter, Shayna, end her life. The teen had dealt with bouts of depression, and unsuccessfully attempted suicide three times.

Ms. Pruitt is releasing, “Three Failed Attempts One Faithful God,” which chronicles her journey alongside her daughter throughout the ordeal. She channeled the course of events into a spiritual journey to uplift them both from the depths of mental illness, to Shayna recognizing her self-worth through belief in Jesus Christ. The book was written in hopes of inspiring others, especially young adults.

"I want people to read this book, and feel encouraged about whatever they are currently going through to know that there is hope for a better outcome,” said Ms. Pruitt. “I am a living witness that God can mend those broken pieces and make you and your loved ones whole again.”

Ms. Pruitt will host a book release and signing at The Edney Innovation Center, 5th Floor, at 1100 Market St., on Sunday, Dec. 12, from 1:30-3:30 p.m. The community is invited to attend and meet the author.  Books will be available for a special price of $15.

Books are also available online on Amazon and Kindle, or for more information call 762-1436  or email to info@3failedattemptsbook.store.
