David William Yezzi, beloved father of six children, passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021, at the age of 68.

 

David was born May 30, 1953 in Erie, Pa., and was preceded in death by his parents, Sebastian Yezzi and Kathleen Slagter Yezzi, brother, Richard Yezzi, sister, Kathleen Yezzi Vinson, wife, Denise Longstreet Yezzi, and son, David Yezzi Jr.

 

He is survived by his five children: daughter Antonyette Yezzi Williams of Florida (spouse Michael) and her children David and Emma, daughter Tianna Yezzi Bork of Georgia (spouse Fred) and her children Madison, Aislinn, Jocelyn, and Xavier, daughter Nichole Yezzi Irvine of North Carolina (spouse Zachary), daughter Katarah Yezzi Griffin of Georgia (spouse Chase) and her daughter Eliana, and daughter Jade Yezzi of Tennessee and long time family friend Sam Nelson.  He is also survived by his siblings, Mary Lou Yezzi-Becker, Christine Yezzi-Litz, Patricia Yezzi-Miller, Anna Yezzi, Michael Yezzi, Steven Yezzi, Michelle Yezzi-Jindra, aunt Margaret Balter (aka aunt Baggie), stepmother Patricia Yezzi-Vargo, cousin Paul Balter, and many nieces and nephews.

 

He often fondly recounted times with the friends he made while working at Riley Stoker Corporation in Erie, PA and at Alstom Corporation in Chattanooga. He enjoyed attending sporting events for his grandson where he was proud to shout “let’s go Brandon!”, and he firmly believed in the motto “Live free or die”. 

 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Open House Church at 9018 Ooltewah-Georgetown Road, Suite #102, Ooltewah, Tn. 37363.  In addition to celebrating the life of David, we will also honor his wife Denise at this time.  Refreshments and finger foods will follow the service.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to one of his causes: the National Breast Cancer Foundation, the National Rifle Association, or the We the People Foundation.
