Signal Mountain Wrestlers Win Ooltewah Invitational

Ethan & Caleb Uhorchuk Share Outstanding Wrestler Award For Eagles

The Signal Mountain Eagles are batting a thousand so far in wrestling tournaments as they claimed their second title in two weeks on Saturday at Ooltewah.

Last week, they were champions of the Vandergriff Duals at Hixson.

A week later while scoring 183 points, the Eagles won the Ooltewah Invitational with six champions, including Joseph Uhorchuk at 106, Ethan Uhorchuk at 113 and Caleb Uhorchuk at 120.  Ethan and Caleb shared the Outstanding Wrestler award.

Other winners for Signal Mountain included Noah Shriner at 126, Jackson Davis at 152 and Daniel Odom at 285 as all won by pins in the finals.

While Signal Mountain was first, the Bradley JVs were second with 141.5 and Hixson third with 109.

Dalton and Walker Valley completed the top five teams with 104 and 94.5 points, respectively.
