Cleveland State Baseball suffered a pair of losses at home on Saturday afternoon as they fell victim to the red-hot Motlow State Bucks.

In the first game, the Cougars fell 8-3. Catcher Ryan McCarthy, left fielder Kenny Naysmith, and third baseman Jacob Robinson all drove in a run in the contest, with McCarthy hitting his fourth home run of the season to tie the TCCAA lead.

The second game was a nail-biter with Cleveland State falling victim to a four-run comeback by the Bucks in the final inning of play to suffer a 13-12 defeat. Third baseman Brandon Lejeune went three-for-three with a career-best three RBI and a run scored. Bryce Jenkins also had a big offensive game for the Cougars, going three-for-four with three RBI and also scoring twice. Center fielder Lance Dockery, right fielder Stokes Needham, and designated hitter Caden Smith also had two hits in the contest, with Dockery and Needham driving in one run and three runs, respectively.

Cleveland State will be back in action on Wednesday as they travel to Morristown, Tn. for a pair of games with the Walters State Senators. First pitch in the doubleheader is scheduled for 12 p.m.
