JoAnn Smith, 86, of Hixson, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2021, at her home.

 

She was a graduate of Soddy Daisy High School and a member of New Salem Baptist Church where she was the former financial secretary.  She was an amateur jewelry maker and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Jim and Ed Henderson.

 

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Tommy E. Smith, son, Aaron (Renee) Smith, granddaughter, Samantha Smith and sister, Margie Jones.

 

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 4, at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Legacy Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.

 

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 3, from 4-8 p.m. and Thursday, March 4, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the funeral home.

 

Covid-19 mandates require social distancing to be observed and masks be worn during all services.
