Carolyn June Kennedy
Carolyn June Kennedy, age 77, a resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, March 8, 2021, at the family residence.
Carolyn was born in Maywood, Ca. and she was the daughter of the late Margaret Talley Manning and Irvin Crawford. Her husband, James Kennedy, her infant son, Hubert Fridley Jr. and her sister, Linda Sue Garrett also preceded her in death.
Carolyn was a seamstress most of her life and she worked for Hardwick Clothes and Faye Swafford Originals. She love to bowl and played in a bowling league. She was a member of the Senior Citizens Center where she love to play pool and she won several tournaments. She also enjoyed playing bingo and she enjoyed singing gospel music. Carolyn also loved to make birthday cakes for her grandchildren and she attended the Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Becky Grizzard and her husband Ken and Linda Brewer all of Cleveland, Nita Davis of Georgetown, Cheryl Hall also of Cleveland, Regina Dupree and her husband Keith of Tyler, Texas; her son, Ricky Lee Byrd of Cleveland; her brother, Leon Puckett of Cleveland; her 13 grandchildren; her 20 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted on Friday, March 12, at 3 p.m. at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel with Reverend Travis Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Tasso United Methodist Church Cemetery with Garrett Byrd, Timothy Maddox, Anthony Lees, Mason Dile, Geneo Dunn and Brian Rodriguez serving as casket bearers.
The family would like to say thank you to her neighbors who brought food, for their love and prayers.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 11, at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
