Bob McGrath
Robert Thomas “Bob” McGrath, 88, of Hixson, passed away on Friday March 5, 2021, at his home.
Robert was a graduate of Illinois Institute of Technology, a veteran of the U.S. Army serving as corporal during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion. He was a retired electrical engineer with TVA, having worked for 20 years.
Robert was a member and elder of Clear Creek Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Erna Hensche McGrath; and two brothers, Charles McGrath, and Roy McGrath.
Robert is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary McGrath; son, Mitchell (Celeste) McGrath; daughter, Peggy McGrath Kronus; three grandchildren, Beck McGrath, Haley Kronus, and Hunter McGrath; and caregiver, Tom See.
Funeral services will be held from the Clear Creek Church of Christ, at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 10, with Minister Steve Campbell officiating. Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until service time at the Clear Creek Church of Christ.
Any donations made in honor of Bob McGrath, are to be made to Clear Creek Church of Christ, 5612 Hixson Pike, Hixson, Tn. 37343. Donations will be to provide meals for the needy within the community.
We respectfully request that “social distancing”, wearing masks at all times, and all CDC guidelines and measures be adhered to at the church and the cemetery.
