Hug-A-Bunny Day At The Chattanooga Zoo Set For April 2-3

  • Monday, March 8, 2021

The Chattanooga Zoo announces the return of its annual Hug-a-Bunny Days. Celebrate the arrival of Spring and the Easter Holiday on Friday, April 2, and Saturday, April 3, from 9 a..m-5 p.m.

This event is an opportunity for families to enjoy both the spring weather and a fun-filled day at the Zoo. This year,  Hug-A-Bunny tickets will be sold online only as time slot options. Guests can choose from either the morning (9 a.m.-12:30 p.m.) or the evening (1:30-5 p.m.) time slots on both Friday and Saturday.

During this event, the Zoo will be offering all the Bunny-Day fun for the price of a general admission ticket ($14.95/adult, $11.95/child). Members can enjoy special member pricing for the event, ($7 adult, $5 child), but must still purchase their tickets online.

Admission includes a golden egg hunt to win a family membership, special animal enrichment activities, bunny hop game, a scavenger hunt, bubble zone, and daily keeper chats live-streamed throughout the Zoo. On top of that, guests can enjoy the Zoo on a spring day, as well as have free photo-opportunities with the Easter Bunny in the Carousel building. In addition to these activities, the Zoo will also be offering Zoo-Choo train rides, giraffe feedings and camel rides for an additional cost.

The Zoo’s Wild Burger Restaurant and snack carts will be open for food and drink purchases. Snack carts include ICEE, Dippin’ Dots and more.

The Zoo’s bunnies will be returning this year with a few changes. While guests will not be able to touch the rabbits, they’ll still be able to watch them hop about in their enclosures, while enjoying bunny trivia, learn about them from the zookeepers, and enjoy many other activities throughout the zoo.

“We’re so excited that Hug-A-Bunny Day will be returning to the Zoo this year,” says Dardenelle Long, Chattanooga Zoo president and CEO. “This is such a fun and educational event for families to enjoy, and we’re sure this year will be no exception.”
