Lifelong Chattanoogan Held Long Career With Pioneer Bank

Juanita L. Clayton, 88 of East Brainerd, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 2, 2021.

 

She was the daughter of the late George and Minnie McDowell Combs. Juanita was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga and had worked for Pioneer Bank for many years. She was a lifelong member of Morris Hill Baptist Church.

 

Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Clayton and three siblings, Mickey Combs, Melvin Combs and Fannie Warren.

 

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bryan and Rhonda Clayton; grandson, Doug (Ashley) Clayton; sister, Sylvia Campbell of Atlanta, and several nieces and nephews.

 

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6, at Morris Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Bill Mason officiating.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Morris Hill Baptist Church, 1804 Morris Hill Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421.

 

Per the current health situation and mandate of the Hamilton County Mayor, visitors must adhere to all CDC guidelines, including social distancing and the wearing of facial coverings for visitation and/or services.

 

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.– 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6, at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 East Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421.
