Mentory (Big Mama) Ford was born on April 11, 1933, to Mr. and Mrs. William Bell in Greenville, Georgia. She passed away peacefully on April 2, 2021.

 

Mrs. Ford was educated in Greenville, Georgia and became a resident of Chattanooga, in the 1950s where she was employed by Dixie Yarn. At a young age, she gave her life to Christ and remained a faithful servant of the Lord until God called her home.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters; brothers; and her forever love, Odderic Ford. 

 

Mrs. Ford leaves to cherish her memories, five wonderful and loving children, George (Georgia) Ford, Doris Bell (Ernest), Angela (Sam) Jones, Ruby Lee Ford, and Odderic (Barbara) Ford, grand-children, great-children, and great-great-grandchildren.

 

Public viewing will be held from 8:30 a.m.-11:30 p.m. on Monday, April 12, followed by a noon funeral service in the chapel. Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
