Power, Passion And Pose Exhibit Comes To The Hunter Museum May 21

  • Friday, May 14, 2021

Power, Passion and Pose: Photographs by Ken Brower and Deborah Ory, comes to the Hunter Museum May 21-Sept. 6.

Review for the exhibit:

A collaboration between dancers, photographers and choreographers, this exhibition examines the intersection of fashion and dance. The beautifully composed and photographed images showcase internationally renowned ballet and modern dancers, often in vintage or modern couture fashions.

The exhibition, melding art with pure athleticism, will feature nearly 50 works by the photographers alongside a number of stunning costumes borrowed from various fashion houses. It is organized by the Hunter Museum of American Art and sponsored by Acumen Wealth Advisors.

There will be opening and artists’ talk on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the Hunter Museum of American Art.
