The Bryan College Baseball team wrapped up their regular season with a crucial series win over Point University. The victory gives them a 32-15 overall record and a 16-12 record in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) to earn them a 3rd place finish.
The Lions jumped out to an early 7-0 lead after five innings.
However, the Skyhawks gave their best effort to cut the deficit with 5 runs over the next two innings. Bryan put the nail in the coffin with 2 more runs in the eighth to take the 9-5 win.
Jacob Justice hit his 15th home run of the season, making him the 5th person in Bryan Baseball history to achieve the milestone.
Wade Weinburger Jr. went 3-4 with 2 RBI's and a run scored.
Bass Cooper added 3 hits and an RBI.
David Scoggins connected for 2 hits, an RBI, and a run scored.
Darwin Gregg finished with 2 hits, 2 RBI's, and 2 runs scored.
