Seventeen-year-old Sam Seawright of Fort Payne, Al. raced past the leader Donald McIntosh and Hall of Famer Dale McDowell Thursday night on a lap 15 restart of the Southern Nationals feature at Boyd's Speedway.

Starting fourth in the feature, the former Fort Payne Motor Speedway track champion used the outside line to gain his career first Super Late Model victory away from his home track.

The win for the teenager was worth $4,053 and comes on round 10 of the 12 race mini series that wraps up this weekend in East Tennessee.

Behind McIntosh and McDowell at the checkers was Winchester's Jadon Frame and Evans GA's rookie Cody Overton.

The races Friday and Saturday night can be viewed on Floracing.com for subscribers of the website.
