Sharon Ginn
Sharon D. Jackson-Ginn, 51, of Harrison, passed away on Monday, August 2, 2021, at her residence.
She was a 1987 graduate of Brainerd High School and was a member of New Enon Missionary Baptist Church. Sharon was formerly employed by Lake Winnepesaukah and was a former Teacher’s Aide at Chambliss Home for many years.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, James Terrell, Sr. and Adeline Chaney Terrell, paternal grandparents, Jesse Jackson and Gladys Jackson; mother, Evelyn B. Jackson; nephews, Ollie “Trey” Peters and II, Baby Fortson; sister, Blondiva Madden and Paulette Wilkerson; brother, Richmond Lewis Byrd. Sharon had a blessed life full of laughter. She never met a stranger and loved her cats and dogs.
Survivors include her son, Cody Ginn; father, Nathaniel Jackson, Sr.; brothers, Will Byrd, Jr., Nathaniel (Myrtis) Jackson, Jr., Millard Jackson, Curtis (Jackie Wood) Byrd, and Michael Jackson; sisters, Kassandra (Larry Sr.) Acklin, Remonia Jackson, Katherine (Richard) Smith, Anita (Jeffery) Rutledge, Alicea (Arthur) Watley, Nadine (Dennis) Fortson, and Cecilia (Ollie Jr.) Peters of Stuttgart, AR; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
Sharon will lie in state on Tuesday, Aug. 17, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Andrew Bullard as the eulogist.
Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens.
