Shirley Bennett
Shirley Duke Bennett, 67, of Chattanooga, passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2021.
She was a 1972 graduate of Howard High School.
Survivors include her three sons, Willie C. Davenport Chardon Bennett and Miquel Stone; grandchildren, Char'dja “Dream” Carter, N “Hans” Davenport; three brothers, Charles Duke, Ernest Gene Duke, David Duke; sisters, Charline Duke, Ernestine Duke, and Shirlene Dixon; nephews, Charles Duke, Jr., Tracy Duke, LC Dixon, III, and Miquel Hamilton; nieces, Tonja Duke, Myracle Cross, Danielle Dixon, and LaShun Duke; friends, Sue Kilgore, Erica Taylor, Tawanna Hamilton, and Belinda Sandford; a host of other relatives and friends.
She will lie in state on Wednesday, Aug. 18, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, East.
