Howard “Edward” Ooten, 76, of Cleveland, departed this life on Saturday, July 31, 2021. He was born in Wartburg, Tn. on Nov. 15, 1944.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Ooten and Cora (Armes) Headrick; two brothers, Leroy Ooten and Tony Armes; and sister, Helen (Zumstein) Bullen.
Left behind to cherish Edward’s memory are his wife Delores (Dee); three children, Darlene (Ooten) Gaskin, James Oote and Paula Ooten; four granddaughters, Brandi (Chastain) Frazier, Kelli Ooten, Bridgette (Ooten) Starnes, Kayla (Farris) Jellies; one grandson, Bradley Gaskin; eight great-grandchildren; nine siblings; many nieces and nephews; and a loving son-in-law, Greg Gaskin.
The family will hold a celebration of Edward's life at a later date.
