Eddie Harris, 66, of Harrison, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 30, 2021, with his wife of 33 years, Donna, and daughter, Kelly, right by his side.

Born in Oklahoma City, Ok. on July 2, 1955 to the late Eddie Harris, Sr. and Velma (Albert) Scoggins, he was a longtime resident of Hamilton County, and of the Baptist faith. Eddie was retired from M & M Mars after 28 years of service and owned and operated Chatt Town Lock and Key for six years, before retiring again to enjoy life. Eddie loved spending time with his family and riding his motorcycle. He loved going to the mountains, whether it was for the weekend or just a day. Donna and he would head out on the road, stopping at different places and enjoying themselves. Eddie loved watching NASCAR and was a huge collector of memorabilia.

Survivors include his loving wife of 33 years, Donna Harris; daughter, Kelly Harris (Rocco) Carpenter; grandchildren, Hailey, Tanner and Parker Carpenter; great-grandchild, McKinley Carpenter; brother, Ron Wallace (Bonae); sister, Kathy Morrow (Mike); sisters-in-law, Phyllis Murphy (Ron) and Carolyn Davis; and several nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.

A Celebration of Life and Homegoing for Eddie Cecil Harris, Jr. will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 4 from the chapel of Companion Funeral Home.

There will be no formal visitation held prior to the service.
