Robert Wayne Hoffman, Sr., age 79, passed away unexpectedly while in Florida on Saturday, September 4, 2021.

 

He was originally from Obion County, Tennessee, and he grew up in Union City, TN and was a graduate of Woodland Mills High School.

 

Mr. Hoffman moved to Nashville in 1960. He spent most of his years in the field of Insurance with Armsead Miller & Wallace, Willis Corroon, then Corroon and Black, then finally setting up Carter Cope & Hoffman Group.

 

Wayne loved the Lord and started his day with a prayer and his devotionals.  Wayne loved going to the beach, traveling by boat, cruise ship, campers, or just camping. 

 

He was preceded in death by parents Robert Smith Hoffman and Mary Elizabeth Hoffman, and sisters Joyce Lunsford, and Mary Treece

 

Surviving is his wife Ginger Hoffman of 36 years, son Robert Wayne Hoffman Jr., daughter Julie Hoffman Casassa (Curt), and bonus children, Lynne DeMatteo (Mario), Lara Latture (David) and Jay Prestwood, nine grandchildren and two great-rrandchildren.

 

The service is on Sunday, September 12, 2021, at 3 p.m. at Fairview United Methodist Church, Hixson TN.
