Danny Allen Rutledge, 55, passed away on January 24, 2022.

Danny was born on Nov. 20, 1966, to Paul Jackson Rutledge, Jr., and Nancy Arms Westmoreland. 

He had been employed at Mueller as a machinist in Chattanooga. Danny was an avid Tennessee Volunteers Fan. He was involved with the softball program in Marion County, Tn., for many years. Danny played baseball, football and wrestled for Tyner High School and later played football for UTC. He loved the outdoors and loved spending time with his family. Danny loved his granddaughter very much and the time they spent together.

To know Danny was to love him. Danny was never without a smile; he had a contagious laugh, and he never met a stranger. His’s love for his family, friends and life was extraordinary and Danny was never without words of love, kindness, and joy. Danny will be missed by all the loved ones that crossed his path during his lifetime.

Danny was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Arms Westmoreland; brother, Paul Jackson Rutledge, III.

Danny leaves his memories to his father, Paul Jackson Rutledge, Jr. (Valerie); daughter, Bailey (Andy) McGowan; sisters, Cynthia Rutledge and Ashley Rutledge (Jake McKim); granddaughter, Brielle McGowan along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will have a memorial service on Friday, Jan. 28, from 3-7 p.m. CST at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper.
