DuPont Retiree Was Hixson Business Women’s Club Woman Of The Year

Sarah Halcomb Patrick, age 92, of Hixson, passed away at her home on September 29, 2022. 

 

She was born in Flintville, TN on April 22, 1930 to Bud and Lula Halcomb.

 

Sarah was a past president of the Hixson Business Women’s Club, Woman of the Year, and a volunteer at Northpark CHI Hospital.  She retired from DuPont with 35 years of service. 

 

She loved her family unconditionally and had a very giving and generous heart.

 

Sarah was preceded in death by her parents Bud and Lula Halcomb; several brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews and a grandson, Chad Norman.

 

Sarah is survived by her son Kenneth (Brenda) Patrick, and daughters Kathy (Diemer) Norman, and Melinda (Doyle) Penny; grandchildren, Michelle Staton, Kristi (Kenneth) Harbin, Jackie (Nikki) Kirby, Leslie Norman, and Charlie (Lindsey) Patrick; 11 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; and sister Inez Daniel.

 

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, October 2, at the Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel.

 

A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Monday, at the Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel with Ian Bloxham officiating.  

 

Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Jerry Pendergrass, Tim Gilbert, Marshall Dooley, Jackie Kirby, Charlie Patrick and Kyle Harbin serving as pallbearers.
