The Honoring the Sacrifice 8th Annual Golf Classic is set for Monday at Black Creek Club. Noted sponsors include North American Credit Services and Medical Services of Chattanooga, Koch Foods, Capital Toyota and Frost Cutlery.

According to Catherine Smith, director of Community Outreach, “We have so many companies to thank. Texas Roadhouse, Tremont Tavern, US101, Coca-Cola, Club Car, and the many hole and flag sponsors all play an integral role in the success of the tournament; it wouldn’t be possible without their help.”

There will be two hole-in-one opportunities at the tournament. A golfer could win a full-year lease on a Toyota Highlander, or a Club Car Golf Cart.

Honoring the Sacrifice was formed in 2013 when Chattanooga native SGT Andrew T. Smith returned from Afghanistan with life-altering wounds. According to a board representative, the fall golf tournament, and the July American Heroes Dinner are key to sustaining the foundation and enabling it to fulfill its mission of providing direct support to catastrophically wounded veterans.

The Honoring the Sacrifice Golf Classic is a scramble format with several contests, along with the signature AR-15 golf ball shot on one of the par 5’s.
