Friends Of Hixson Community Christmas Tree Lighting Is Saturday

The Friends of Hixson and the Hixson Kiwanis invite the public to come out and help kick-off the holiday season at the annual Hixson Community Christmas Tree Lighting event on Saturday at Clear Creek Church of Christ, 5612 Hixson Pike.

The doors will open at 6 p.m. with refreshments in the church’s Community Café with the Music Program scheduled from 6:30-7:30 p.m. featuring Hixson High School’s Band, Choir and Strings Orchestra.

Tennessee State House, District 26 Rep. Greg Martin, will serve as emcee for the event, and Bo Watson, Tennessee State Senator, District 11 will join Santa Clause to officially light the community Christmas tree at 7:30 p.m.

The annual event is hosted by Friends of Hixson, Hixson Kiwanis Club and Clear Creek Church of Christ.
