With the number of survivors of World War II (WWII) steadily decreasing every year of those veterans who are favorably known as the parents of the “Baby Boomer” generation do not always get the recognition they deserve.

The victors in the armed forces in 1941-1945 to preserve Democracy against Germany, Japan and Italy, etc. came home to start a family and return to the American way of life.

Their descendants are known as a baby boomer is someone who was born after the soldiers of WWII came home and up to eighteen years later.

Therefore, the calculation of the period may differ in some countries.

It was reported that in the United States and Canada, 2 million babies were born during the boom between 1946 and 1964.

The first North American baby boomer was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania one second after midnight on January 1, 1946.

(If you run into one of their moms/dads who served in the great conflict thank them for their service. They will appreciate it – and so will you!)
