Fall 2021 “Come to the Table: An Evening of Worship”
Lee University’s U-Church series will host this spring semester’s “Come to the Table, An Evening of Worship” led by LeeU Worship on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. in the Conn Center.
“This semester’s ‘Come to The Table’ service will be led by current members of LeeU Worship and feature an original song written by Abigail Joy, Kevin Currenton, and Bekah Thompson,” said Dr. Brad Moffett director of LeeU Worship and vice president for University Relations. “I look forward to these times of musical worship and the service of Communion we will enjoy together.”
“An Evening of Worship” is centered around communion, student-led worship, and creative production provided by the LeeU Tech Crew.
The theme for the evening is “Wake Up” and is based on Isaiah 52, which states, “Awake, awake, Zion, clothe yourself with strength! Put on your garments of splendor, Jerusalem, the holy city.”
LeeU Worship is a collective of student songwriters, worship leaders, and musicians who have a heart to lead their peers on the Lee University campus through meaningful worship encounters. The ensemble released an album in 2017 of 10 original songs ranging in style from the typical up tempo layered electronic sound, powerful ballads, and a modern hymn based on the New Testament text the early church sang.
U-Church is a free, non-ticketed event, open to students, alumni, and the community. Seating is first come, first served.
