Todd Smith is no stranger to the world of Chattanooga tourism. After leading Rock City’s marketing efforts through the 80s and 90s and publishing Travelhost Magazine for almost two decades, he's onto his next venture of launching a new magazine, Explore Chattanooga. Explore Chattanooga, a vibrant print and online magazine will provide the visitor with curated content on where to eat, places to shop, and things to do during their visit to the Scenic City.
“It’s exciting to be publishing again," Mr. Smith said. “Our mission is to be the best resource for visitors as they explore all that Chattanooga has to offer, and we’re off to a great start.”
The magazine complements the Explore Chattanooga area maps, all of which are available at over 100 hotel and campground properties. The inaugural issue features local writers with years of experience sharing their insider knowledge about Chattanooga.
The first issue of Explore Chattanooga features the Market Street Bridge on its cover, photographed by Andrew Keller. Editorial in the debut issue includes the 30th Anniversary of the Tennessee Aquarium, Coker Museum - a Hidden Gem on the Southside, an iGNiS Glass Glossary of Terms, and the history of Hercules, the largest pinball machine ever commercially made, which can be found at the Classic Arcade Pinball Museum on Broad Street.
Spring, Summer, and Fall issues, as well as a Holiday Guide, will be published throughout the year. For more information, email contact@explorechatt.com.
