Sarah Stanley
Sarah Stanley, 87, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away Friday, April 15, 2022 in a local healthcare center.
A longtime resident of Chattanooga, Mrs. Stanley retired after 43 years of service from the Tennessee Department of Employment Security.
She was a longtime member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she had served as church elder.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Verne R. Stanley; son, Keith Stanley; sister, Lee Lane; and brother, Art Smith.
Survivors are her daughter, Susan (Bob) Weeks, Chattanooga; grandson, Chris (Jordan) Davenport, Chickamauga, Ga.; two great-grandsons, Dawson and Jonah Davenport; sister, Sandra (Jim) Rice, Red Bank; brother, Cecil Smith, Buford, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 19, at 2 p.m. at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Dr. Courtney Kruger and Dr. Bill Owens officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12-2 p.m. in the church parlor at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
