On April 18, 2022, the Lord guided Alice Marilyn Finchum, 76, to the pearly gates of heaven.
Alice was a resident of Jasper, Tn. and a member of the McKendree United Methodist Church. She was born on Nov. 26, 1945 to the late Clarence and Jean Ann Shaw Ott. Before retiring, Alice had been employed at Chicago Medical School as a private secretary. Her life was spending time with her family, being a great Mom and had the driest sense of humor. She had a huge love for her dog and any other dog that crossed her path. Alice was a woman with spunk, love, laughter and most of all loving her dear Lord and Savior.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Ott and Jean Ann Shaw Ott and special friend, Bill May.
She leaves her memories to her son, Scott Gecias; brother, Edward (Hope) Ott; several grandchildren and one great grandchild along with a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will have a memorial service in her honor on Sunday, April 24, at 3 p.m. CST at McKendree United Methodist Church in Jasper, Tn. Special words will be given by Reverend Joseph Manis, Sr.
Arrangements are by Tate Funeral Home, LLC., 950 Mel Dixon Lane, Jasper, Tn. 37347, 423 942-9500.
