Bruce Alan Hensley, 60, of Apison, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2022 

 

Bruce was born in Springfield, Oh., on Nov. 18, 1961, the son of the late Charles A Hensley. He was known to many as Bruce the Builder, he is a well-known home builder in the area of Chattanooga and Cleveland.

 

His hobbies were helping others with building projects and the lake. He always wanted to be at the lake even when he was supposed to be working. Always having fun, always the life of the party, but when he was done “it's time for you to go!” Besides working, which he did all the time, he enjoyed time with friends and family. 

 

Survivors include his wife who loved him dearly, Julie Bailey Hensley, to whom he was married on Jan. 15, 2009; mother, Etta M. Reynolds Hensley; a daughter, Heather (James) Brown; a granddaughter, Savannah Moore; brother, Larry (Val) Hensley; mother-in-law, Jane Bailey; sister-in-law, Lisa (Scott) Born, brothers-in-law, Tony (Kathy) Bailey, Scott (Nichole) Bailey; and several nieces and nephews.

 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, April 25, from 4-8 p.m., at Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Chapel.

 

This will be a gathering for all to come and celebrate Bruce’s life and the joyful memories that everyone had with him over the years.
