CCS Softball Walks Off Against Lipscomb

t came down to the wire on Thursday, with Chattanooga Christian Chattanooga Christian Chargers Varsity taking victory on a dramatic walk-off single in the late innings that sealed their victory over Lipscomb Academy Varsity Mustangs.  The game was tied at seven with Chattanooga Christian Chattanooga Christian Chargers Varsity batting in the bottom of the seventh when Addi Lewis singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

Chattanooga Christian Chattanooga Christian Chargers Varsity collected 15 hits and Lipscomb Academy Varsity Mustangs had ten.

Chattanooga Christian Chattanooga Christian Chargers Varsity opened up scoring in the first inning when Hannah Blevins's sac fly scored one run for Chattanooga Christian Chattanooga Christian Chargers Varsity.

After Lipscomb Academy Varsity Mustangs scored two runs in the top of the third, Chattanooga Christian Chattanooga Christian Chargers Varsity answered with two of their own.  Chattanooga Christian Chattanooga Christian Chargers Varsity then answered when Lauren McGill tripled on a 0-2 count, scoring two runs.

Autumn Hughes earned the victory on the rubber for Chattanooga Christian Chattanooga Christian Chargers Varsity. The pitcher went seven innings, allowing seven runs on ten hits, striking out eight and walking one.

Presley Mclean took the loss for Lipscomb Academy Varsity Mustangs. The righty surrendered eight runs on 15 hits over six and a third innings, walking one.

Chattanooga Christian Chattanooga Christian Chargers Varsity totaled 15 hits in the game.  Hannah Smith, McGill, Blevins, and Nyla Halfacre all managed multiple hits for Chattanooga Christian Chattanooga Christian Chargers Varsity.  Smith led Chattanooga Christian Chattanooga Christian Chargers Varsity with four hits in four at bats.

Lipscomb Academy Varsity Mustangs racked up ten hits in the game.  Chloe Jones and Mclean each collected multiple hits for Lipscomb Academy Varsity Mustangs.  Jones went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Lipscomb Academy Varsity Mustangs in hits.
