James "Jimmy" "Frog" Devoughn Watkins

James "Jimmy" "Frog" Devoughn Watkins, age 72, of Summerville, Georgia, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2022.

He was born Nov. 27, 1949 to the late Richard Watkins, Sr. and Kathleen Black Watkins.

He was preceded by his brother, Richard Watkins, Jr., and sister, Kathryn Theresa Watkins.

For many years he was employed at Mohawk Industries and Truck Town, and he attended Chattooga High School, and was a member of West Fifth Street Church of Christ.

Survivors are his wife of 48 years, Freda Lynne Geeter Watkins; two daughters, Nicole S. (Kent) Perry, and Janna E. (Christopher) Moore; grandchildren, Santeria Watkins, Imani Wyatt; two great-grandchildren, Jaliyah Wilson, and Zaylin Wilson; brother-in-law, John Geeter; aunts, Eva Byron, and Annie Black; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Homegoing service will be held on Wednesday, May 25, at 1 p.m. at West Fifth Street Church of Christ in Summerville, Georgia with Brother John Lewis as eulogist.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service.

Interment will be at Summerville Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Ga.
