Volunteers Needed To Pick Up American Flags Off Of Gravesites At Chattanooga National Cemetery May 31-June 3

Cherokee Area Council Scouts and volunteers placed over 48,000 American flags at Chattanooga National Cemetery for Memorial Day Observances.  The cemetery staff, Chattanooga Area Veterans Council and the Cherokee council is asking for the public’s assistance with picking up those flags. 

The small American flags are rolled in bundles of ten and stored until the next year.  Volunteers can report to the cemetery office between the hours of 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday of this week until complete.
