Harrison Student Among Hagerty's 2022 First Session Summer Interns

Jillian Cantrell, student from Harrison, is among those Senator Bill Hagerty announced who will be serving as interns in his Washington, D.C., and Tennessee offices for the 2022 first summer session.

Ms. Cantrell is a senior at Washington and Lee University, where she is majoring in biology and politics. She will be serving in Washington, D.C. as an intern
 
“An internship in the U.S. Senate—whether in Washington or in Tennessee—offers invaluable experience for students as they see first-hand the inner workings of the legislative branch of government,” said Senator Hagerty. “I’m honored to provide this group of impressive students with a unique opportunity to have hands-on involvement in the daily operations of a Senate office, the legislative process and constituent services across Tennessee.”
 
Other Washington, D.C., Interns include:

Robert Ayotte from Memphis. He is a junior at Wake Forest University where he is majoring in business enterprise management and politics.
 
Elizabeth Hubbard from Nashville. She is a junior at Texas Christian University, where she is majoring in history.
 
Liza Luter from Memphis. She is a senior at the University of Georgia, where she is majoring in political science an international affairs.
 
Ryan Murn from McLean, Va. He is a senior at American University, where he is majoring in interdisciplinary studies in communications, law, economics and government.
 
Lauren Pacious from Alexandria, Va. She is a senior at Virginia Tech, where she is majoring in criminology and sociology.
 
Noah Smith is from Jacksboro. He is a senior at the University of Tennessee where he is majoring in supply chain marketing and political science.

Sadal Ali, interning in the Knoxville office, is from Knoxville. He is a sophomore at the University of Tennessee, where he is majoring in political science.
 
Wyatt Bettis, interning in the Nashville office, is from Nashville. He is a sophomore at Vanderbilt University, where he is majoring in political science.
 
Tyler LaRose, interning in the Nashville office, is from Franklin. He is a senior at Page High School.
 
Noah Smith, interning in the Nashville office, is from Fort Lauderdale, Fl. He is a recent graduate of Vanderbilt University where he majored in human and organizational development.
