Michael Patrick Mitchell passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022, at 47 years of age from complications stemming from COVID-19.

He graduated from Ooltewah High School, attended Tennessee Tech, and ultimately obtained a Culinary Degree from John Folse Culinary institute in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

He spent many years at Advance Auto Parts and was loved by colleagues and customers alike. Patrick could always be found tinkering on one of his many car projects, helping anyone in need, changing tires for people he didn’t know, rescuing kittens from trees and watching otter videos on repeat. He loved animals and being around people. He had a giant smile, a huge heart and he loved to make people laugh. He will truly be missed.

He is survived by his father, Kenneth Mitchell (Donna), his mother, Donna H. Mitchell, brothers, Kenneth Jr. (Julie), Adam (Tara) and Christopher Mitchell, his sister, Jennifer Mitchell, many beloved nieces and nephews, his former wife, Debbie Mitchell, and his best friend, Amiee Martin Smith.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 17, at 5 p.m. at 6011 Lee Highway, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the World Wildlife Fund Adopt a River Otter Program or the Chattanooga Zoo.

Arrangements are by the Cremation Center of Chattanooga, 423 362-5999.
