Z. Jean Benefield, 87, of Hixson, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 1, 2022.

 

Jean was born in Fyffe, Al., to the late Eulice Clark McGee and Lula Samantha Brown McGee. She retired from ADM Milling as a computer clerk. Jean was a member of Lupton Drive Baptist Church. She was known by her family as the most wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother in the world.

 

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 68 years, Delmos Benefield; daughter, Donna Bowen; grandchildren, Tiffany Oxford and Jonathan Bowen; and great grandson Ethan Connor Oxford.

 

There will be a graveside service for Jean on Tuesday, July 5, at 3 p.m. at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Hospice Chaplain Kevin Becker will officiate the service.

 

Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
