AUDIO: Earl Freudenberg's Tribute To Lee Anderson

  • Sunday, July 3, 2022

Earl Freudenberg recorded a program about Lee Anderson after he died on June 16, 2016.

Earl says of Lee Anderson, "I know of no one any smarter.  Col. John Popham was good, but I never got to interview him one on one.  In his final years he came by the station with Bobby Wood and I do have a picture.  I managed to get him to stay with Bobby for my program, but I can't. find that tape.

"I remember Lee and John would rotate when a speaker didn’t show up for an Armed Forces Week event.  Charles Coolidge said one time he almost hoped a speaker would cancel because Lee and John could top just about anyone they could get.
