When:
Where: Christ United Methodist Church
8645 East Brainerd Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37421
East Brainerd Community Theater presents its production of Meredith Wilson’s The Music Man, July 15 and 16 at 7:30 p.m. and July 21 and 22 at 7:30 p.m., with a matinée on July 23 at 2:30 p.m.
With memorable hits like "Till there was You" and "76 Trombones," the musical follows con man Professor Harold Hill as he promises to teach and direct a boy’s band in River City.
Unknown to the town, Prof. Hill doesn’t know music, isn’t a professor and intends on stealing the money he’s collected for instruments and uniforms. Things go awry when someone in River City finds out he’s a fraud. Will he stay or leave town on the next train?
Early bird tickets are $10 through July 14. Tickets are available on Eventbrite (The Music Man Tickets, Multiple Dates | Eventbrite) or can be purchased during business hours at Christ UMC’s church office, 8645 East Brainerd Road (across from Publix). Tickets at the door are $15. All seats are general admission.
"The East Brainerd Community Theater gives back to our community by asking our cast and crew, as well as our audience, to help support a non-profit organization in our area," officials said. "During this show, we are partnering with The Samaritan Center and collecting Expo markers, gel pens, tissues, Clorox wipes, kids scissors and Crayola 24 pack crayons. Cash donations will also be accepted during the show."
